DPS was founded in 1984 by current Managing Director Osman Ismail. Initially DPS was formed as a bespoke software house DPS developed business management solutions to the general market. Some of their successes include writing a world wide reservation and booking system for Holiday Inns and also ‘Speak Easy’ a communications product widely used to transfer files from disabled user writing devices to computers. Convey was their first product into the legal market and by 1988 the company concentrated solely on the legal sector.
Our ethos is and has always been to develop simple, innovative, flexible products that could meet the specific and changing needs of growing legal practices. DPS developed the first:-
1) General case management system in the UK
2) Criminal billing system for crown and magistrates court work including built in case management
3) Web based client case reporting system
4) Automated case email tracking system
5) Case and digital dictation integrated system
6) Case management system to be PISCES compliant
In 2001 they released their Cashier accounts system that now has over 100 firms using it, and later in 2004 the Team Talk digital dictation system that 6 months after release has 8 client firms and over 500 individual users.
DPS has a strong commitment to development and using technology to serve the legal profession, our latest development use .net (dot net) technology to integrate to services from other suppliers. Using this DPS has created links to other legal technology suppliers systems.
Their latest software is PISCES compliant showing their commitment to embracing new standards that are evolving all the time. Over 21 years on we have over 400 firms using our legal software solutions and this number is constantly growing. This certainly establishes DPS Software as one of the UK's leading providers of case management software. |
