| Company & Product Overview |
Cognito Software has been offering an extensive range of software solutions to the legal profession since 1991. Founded in Devon with its head office in Essex and developed with a progressive partnership of solicitors; the company's first product was a dedicated accounts package.
Cognito Software has since evolved to match the business requirements of users at legal practices, incorporating changes in regulation and the latest technology improvements.
The Cognito range is based on a family of modular software products that can be used as a standalone solution or integrated to form a single database. Cognito Software’s core products include PracticeManager™, CaseManager™ and Custodiens® Trust & Probate that can be tailored to emulate working practices. Supplementary to these systems are DocuManager and InTouch which enhance functionality through specific document management and client marketing capabilities respectively.
In 2005, Cognito launched a complete end-to-end redevelopment of their Custodiens Trust & Probate solution. Custodiens provides a comprehensive case management framework plus the ability to calculate and revise IHT forms at a keystroke.
The latest software release for 2006 is Cognito 9.0, designed for Cognito’s complete product portfolio offering features such as:
• An interactive single screen overview of all case elements
• Email integration with Microsoft Exchange email
• Personalised shortcuts to management reporting.
Cognito Software Ltd, is part of Ultima Networks PLC, and operates in association with Akhter Computers to provide comprehensive software, hardware and related service needs. |
